There are 2 Mikva'oth in Ottawa. The older one is Chabad
affiliated and located next to the Young Israel of Ottawa Congregationon its
left side (call
613-722-8394 to leave a message). The other one belongs to the
Vaad
Ha'Ir and is located in theJewish Community Centre -JCC-(call 613-798-9818, extension 287, to
leave a message on the answering machine). The Mikwah in the Jewish
Community Centre is located at 21 Nadolny Sachs Private in the back of the
building (see map).
For more information: The Mikvah in the Young Israel used to be open
for both, women and men. For the time being it can be only
used by men. Consequently the JCC-Mikvah is the only fully operational Mikvah
in town. It opens its door for men solely on Erev Rosh
Hashana and on Erev Yom Kippur. Both mikvaoth are equipped with everything
needed in preparation for immersion, including towels. If you have questions,
ask your Rabbi
for further information.
